The survey features not only salary information, but also such areas as number of on-call days, employment responsibilities, salary grids, and number of vacation days.

To the Canadian Clinical Chemistry Community:
In 2001 the Federal, Provincial and Territorial governments established Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) as a federally-funded, independent, not-for-profit organization, with membership consisting of Canada's 14 federal, provincial and territorial Deputy Ministers of Health. Infoway’s objective is to accelerate the use of interoperable electronic health information systems and electronic health records (EHRs) across the country. The clinical goal is that 100% of Canadians should have an EHR by 2015. To date, approximately $1.2 billion has been invested by Infoway in this venture.

IFCC Special Opportunities
Distance-Learning Program on Natiuretic Peptides
IFCC is pleased to announce the release of this program. It is the first product of the new Siemens-IFCC Educational partnership. The link http://www.siemenslearning.com/IFCC/ will take you to the Training Portal Login Page. On this page an individual can register and a generic password will be sent to them by email. After receiving the password, return to the link and enter your email address and generic passwrod. You will be prompted to change the generic password to an invidual password. Then you are ready to view the presentation.
Upon completion of the presentaion you will be able to take the student assessment. After successfully completing the assessment, a certificate of course completion can be printed.
IFCC Scholarships 2008
IFCC will have available scholarships for young members (<40y of age) to visit research institutes or clinical laboratories for training and/or research related to laboratory medicine. This program is designed to foster relationships between laboratories on an individual basis.
